Find your
low tide.
When the water goes out, there is more ground to stand on. Therapy for anxiety, burnout and grief, in a quiet hour that is only yours.
You might be here because
- Your mind will not switch off at night.
- You are doing well on paper and worn out underneath.
- Someone you love died, and the world kept going.
- You snap at the people you least want to hurt.
- A big change is coming and you are bracing for it.
- You can not name what is wrong. It is just heavy.
None of this has to be fixed by Friday. It needs somewhere to be said out loud.

Hello, I am Lena.
I have sat with people on hard days for fourteen years. I am calm, I am direct when it helps, and I will not hand you a worksheet and send you home.
Most of the people I see are capable adults who have been holding a great deal together for a long time. We slow things down until you can hear yourself again.
- Licensed clinical professional counselor in Maine
- Fourteen years in practice, nine of them in Portland
- Trained in acceptance and commitment therapy and grief work
Three small steps, then the water goes out.
You do not need a diagnosis, a referral or the right words. You need fifteen minutes and a phone.
A free 15 minute call
Tell me what is going on. We both decide whether I am the right person. No forms first.
A first session
Fifty minutes in the armchair on Exchange Street, or on video from home. We go at your pace.
A rhythm that suits you
Most people come weekly at first, then less often as things settle. You can stop whenever you like.
What it costs, said plainly.
You will know the cost before we ever meet. There are no packages and nothing to sign up for.

Pay by card or health savings account at the end of each session.
Need to move a session? Tell me a day ahead and there is no charge.

Insurance
I am out of network. Each month I send a statement you can pass to your plan, and many plans pay part of it back.
Things people ask me first.
If yours is not here, ask it on the call. There are no silly ones.
What if I do not know what to say?
Most people do not. I will ask a few easy questions and we follow what matters. Long quiet moments are fine here.
Do you see people online?
Yes. About half my sessions are on video. You need to be in Maine at the time of the session.
How long does therapy take?
Some people come for eight sessions and some for a year. We check in every few weeks so you are never here out of habit.
Is what I say private?
Yes. What you say stays in the room. I explain the few legal limits to that on our first call.
What if we are not a good fit?
Then I will say so and give you the names of two people I trust. Fit matters more than my calendar.
Send a note. I write back within one working day.
